MOLLY

has been a Bay Area native and lover of comedy since she was a wee thing.  After training with Center REP’s Young REP for seven summers, she found her calling in clowning with guidance from Bay Area clown Sara Moore. Workshops at the Flying Actor Studio led her to a summer at Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre. The Peggy Ford/Paoli Lacy Scholarship for Emerging Female Clowns allowed her to attend the San Francisco Clown Conservatory, where she graduated in 2017. In her non-free time, Molly Kate is a professional wedding and portrait photographer, combining her love of creating characters with her love of capturing characters.

SHARA

is an improviser, actor, clown and teacher based in San Francisco. An alumna of the Stanford Improvisors and San Francisco Circus Center’s Clown Conservatory, Shara performs with Un-Scripted Theater Company, Mona and Shara Do Improv, MOSH and a variety of other Bay Area comedy shows. When not bathed in stage lights, she is a jack-of-all-trades, working with the Medical Clown Project of San Francisco, acting and clowning in local gigs, and teaching with a number of organizations including Stagebridge, Circus of Smiles, Aragon High School, and BATS Improv. After MOSH sessions, SH laughs to herself for days afterwards, and she is thrilled to share the effervescent MOSH experience with the rest of the world.

what is MOSH?

Molly Kate and Shara discovered each other at the San Francisco Circus Center Clown Conservatory in 2016. A year later, they hadn’t stopped laughing with each other, so they created MOSH on the leather couch in the College Ave Philz Coffee. MOSH is a character-driven, physical theatre and clown duo. MOSH is drawn to characters and stories that have a similar tone to a newborn kitten on tiny roller skates in an earthquake, and they believe that laughter makes the haunting reality of their own mortality a little easier to manage. They look forward to digging deeper into what makes them giggle and sharing it on stages, streets and screens near you.
